• Can you guarantee employment? We are a training center, not a job board. The only person who can guarantee your employment is you. People spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to attend college, with no guarantee of employment. Unlike college, we coach you every week and give you tools to know where to look to find clients, and keep them once you have them. The rest is up to you. You can create the future that you want. We are here to help you do just that. 
  
• How long will it take me to get started?  You can dive in today and start with the START HERE section to make using the platform effortless. We have compiled answers to our most common questions so that you have those available as soon as you sign up. We will also have an orientation session for you where we will walk you through how to participate in the membership.
  
  As you progress, I recommend that you take your time. It’s not a race, and there is no such thing as being late or behind. We want you to do this at your own pace and not be stressed. We’ve actually designed the membership to mimic what your life will be like as an industry professional, meaning you can set your own pace. That being said, within the Insider Track membership, we do everything in our power to help you stay on a 90 Day timeline to either finish your screenplay or get your certification as an analyst.
• What if I can’t make the live sessions? The sessions are recorded so that you can watch them at your convenience. You can also send us questions and/or post them in the Facebook Group, and we will answer them during the live session so that you can see the answers in the replay. We often do special sessions on nights and weekends - we try to mix it up, and every few months we do a poll so that members can pick the best time and day for our regular sessions. You can also dive in and binge sessions from the last two years. So you’ll have plenty of content to help you on your journey.
  
• What if I am an actor? There is an entire lesson called Perspectives that demonstrates how an actor breaks down a screenplay. I have a degree in drama with an emphasis in acting, so I walk you through how an actor prepares.
  
• How does this work for writers? This membership is designed so that readers and writers can come together in a safe space to learn about the industry, understand how to write and analyze a screenplay, and to practice giving and getting feedback. You will see how to write a screenplay that will get past a reader! Being a reader is also invaluable for writing. It is a front-and-center position for seeing why people choose certain films to develop. Not to mention the contacts you will make as a writer, which will make it easier for you to launch your career. I have had many rewriting gigs based on the relationships I made as a story analyst. The current film I am writing began because the producer was someone I had worked with as a story consultant on a previous project. Not only that, we have added a program called Pages in Practice within the membership. This is an opportunity for story analysts to analyze pages written by members, while both people receive feedback from the group on how to give and receive feedback.
  
• Is this a referral site? We don’t act as a headhunter, but we do have tools to promote you. For readers, we have the Alumni Promo Pack for people that go through the Screenreader System and finish two sample coverages. The Alumni Promo Pack consists of three main components. 1. We put our alumni into the Screenreader Pipeline, a directory I share with producers and companies who need readers. 2. We also have the StoryMaster Portal available so people can access your information on our website. This lets you use our site without building your own, and you’ll have a link to share with others. Or you can build your own site and share it on our page, since we already have traffic coming to our page with people looking for information about readers and writers. 3. We also invite you to be on the StoryMaster Squad so that you can be on panels and we can feature you in social media with interviews on YouTube, our podcast, etc. For writers, you can make your screenplay available on our site, and you can participate in a Writer Review where we interview you about your script so that you can share the information. We want to tell everyone about you so you can gain traction and so people can see that we are creating qualified readers and talented writers. This isn’t just a membership, it’s a movement!
  
• What if I don’t have time? As your coach and mentor, I will challenge you on that. We all have the same amount of time. It’s up to you to use the time to do the things that are important to you. You have to value the things you want. If you want to know what you value, look at what you did today, and yesterday, and the day before that. I want to get you to a place where you are doing things every day to build your career. Even if it’s just for a few minutes. There are people who are changing the world with the time that they have. If you're here right now, you’ve already proven your values are in the right place. You'll just have to do what you did today to make it work. I believe you are one of those people who can make anything you want happen.
  
• Will my price go up? No. As long as you stay an active member, your price is locked in. If the membership price rises, you will stay at the price you paid when you joined. If you decide to switch to an annual plan, it will be the price you paid times ten for the year (you'll get two months free). The only time it would raise is if you leave the membership and then decide to come back months later. Then you would rejoin at the current price.
  
• What if I can’t afford it? If this is cutting into your ability to pay for essentials, you might need to wait, start planning, and budgeting to join later. If you join later, we can’t guarantee the price will remain the same. However, when you think about the fact that you'll get weekly career coaching in Insider Track Membership, you can use that coaching to walk you through the steps so you can earn the money you will spend to take this course. You will also have access to archives where you can watch previous training sessions we’ve held on productivity, money management, and wealth building. How long will you wait to get started? Getting out of your comfort zone is where true growth happens.
  
• What are the stats of how many people have graduated and are working? Some people start working before they graduate and never finish. Many writers finish their screenplays within 90 days. I can confidently say that this is a course you can finish, and we are fully committed to helping you do so. And our graduates are making things happen. Our readers are reading for industry professionals, people who work with names such as Kevin Hart and Keanu Reeves. Our readers are also starting their own businesses: creating courses and resources for writers, starting podcasts, making films, receiving awards at film festivals, and reading screenplays for producers, writers, contests, fellowships, and festivals. And let’s not forget that Ed and Paula met in the program and are now married! We have a lot of people that have written their first screenplay and are now building a body of work while learning what to do with their finished scripts.
  
• Where do I find work as a story analyst? That is a huge question with a multifaceted answer. Everyone is different. There are a lot of paths you can take. Being a story analyst is like being a casting director. You’re trying to find the right script for the right producer. Since you are the reader looking for screenplays that match the type of movies a producer is seeking, you need to decide which type of producer you want to work with. If you love horror films, you look for clients in that genre. Or maybe you want to work with writers. We walk you through how to do that. The way the course is laid out is part of the training to get you accustomed to the lifestyle of being a reader. We have alumni that are focusing on reading for producers, some that are producers and use it to be able to communicate with writers, some are consultants, we even have someone that started a screenplay competition so he’s hiring his fellow alumni to read for him, some pivoted and got inspired to write screenplays and now their placing in competitions and optioning their work. That’s the beauty of it. You decide what you want to do and use the tools to map out your unique Success Path. 
• How do I sell my screenplay? This is another question with a multifaceted answer. There are a ton of ways to get your script to the screen. We will show you all of the different tools that you can use to pitch your work, where you should look to find people that might want to produce your screenplay, and, most importantly, how to create your own unique path to success. It's different for everyone. I will also continue to share my experiences so you have a behind-the-scenes look at how I'm making movies. Our guests will also give you insight. While we can't guarantee this will happen to you, we have members who meet guests, connect offline, and start collaborating together. You never know!
  
• Can I do it from Canada? Yes. You can do it from anywhere. You don’t necessarily have to work for American companies anymore. Big distributors like Netflix are looking for deals outside of the United States. You can work with aspiring filmmakers in your own community to help them get their stories prepared so that those producers can strike deals with American companies. Or you can work with American companies remotely.
  
• Is the course lifetime access?  Starting in 2026, you have access to everything as long as you remain in the membership. The Screenreader System and Write Now are also standalone courses and can be purchased on our website if you don't want to join the membership. When you buy a course this way, it's yours to keep. The membership continues on a month-to-month basis, with a discount for an annual membership. This comes with access to weekly live trainings, movie nights, special guests, the facebook group, live coverage review, the writers’ room and live course review sessions, the StoryMaster Portal, Screenreader Pipeline, the StoryMaster Squad and the Writer Review. 
  
• How does it help to be in the community? I can’t say enough about the community. They are amazing. They support each other. Some of them have been starting businesses together. They’ve formed screenwriting partnerships. For example, we have a lot of people who read for the Austin Film Festival. A group of them got an Airbnb together to attend the conference. Some of them had Producers' badges, which got them into everything and allowed them to meet a lot of people. So cool, right? Then, while they were together, one of the Screenreaders was shooting a film trailer. So the group actually helped her on the set of her shoot. So here we have a bunch of people who didn’t know each other before joining the Insider Track Membership, suddenly in Austin, shooting a film's trailer together. It’s so exciting. I can’t wait to see what else grows out of this experience. And my favorite story is two members meeting and getting married. So cool. 
  
• Do you give us feedback? In the Insider Track, we have a team of our Certified Coaches who look at your homework and give you feedback along the way. They also review your coverages, give you feedback, and then give me a heads-up when it looks like your coverages are ready to go. Then I do a video review and give you direct feedback so that your two coverages are solid and ready for use.. Then you use those as samples to get jobs. 
  
• What if I’m not a tech person? - If you’re here asking this question, you have enough skills to be a member. We also have a very committed customer service team that will help you with anything you need
  
• Do you do one-on-one coaching? Yes. My coaching practice is separate from the group.  I have limited spots available. That said, priority for booking those spots goes to Insider Track members. You can book a spot by emailing a request to Team@HollywoodGatekeepers.com
